Wilton Resident Reports Copper Downspouts Were Stolen from Home

Each of the five sections stolen are valued at $700, according to police.

 

A West Meadow Road resident reported to that copper downspouts were stolen from his property on July 26, according to Captain John Lynch.

The report states that the homeowner reported the theft, which was discovered by a contractor working on the home, at 4:41 p.m. Five sections of copper downspout where stolen, Lynch said, each valued at about $700.

Lynch said that the department is currently interviewing contractors that had been working at the home and have developed a possible suspect.
