Woman Accused of Drunken Driving With Daughter In Car

A Brookfield woman was arrested Monday night for allegedly driving drunk with her four-year-old daughter in her car.

At 7:51 p.m., an officer reported observing a car traveling northbound on Danbury Road drifting between two lanes. The officer signaled the driver to stop, and the driver pulled over and stopped at Cannon Road.

While speaking with the driver, later identified as Cathryn Almonte, the officer reported she emitted an odor of alcohol. The officer reported Almonte failed a field sobriety test and refused to be tested to measure her blood-alcohol content.

Almonte, 34, of 51 Skyline Dr., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, risk of injury to a minor, and making an unsafe lane change. She was released on a promise to appear in court June 6.
