He is more affable, able to make his point in a debate or discussion without coming across as strident, quick to introduce personal anecdotes to make confusing, multifarious policy more understandable. These skills count in an election."
Linda McMahon (R) released a new ad attacking Republican rival Christopher Shays, reports the Norwalk Citizen. It says Shays is a "career politician" and promotes herself as a job creator.

The Connecticut Mirror reports that the race between Steve Obsitnik (R) and Representative Jim Himes (D) is "becoming increasingly heated." Many attacks have stemmed from the candidates' attempts to win over independents.
