Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama, Romney During Next Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

I am aware of disability claims involving our nations veterans, which have been languishing unresolved within the field offices of the Department of Veteran Affairs, which were first filed before President Obama even took office and this does not include any time for the continuing hurdles and delays for appeals that these veterans will ultimately confront too, when and if the Department of Veteran Affairs ever does decide to address the backlog of neglect our nations veterans have been subjected to after serving our nation. What would each of you do Mr. President and Governor Romney, to straighten out the mess within the Department of Veteran Affairs and don't our veterans deserve better than this!

I would ask Mitt Romney: "Mr. Romney, why did you lie in the first debate about 3-4 times more often than President Obama. Fact checkers and leading media outlets like the Associated Press have shown you lied at least 27 times in the 38 minutes you spoke. You told blatant inaccuracies about your healthcare plan, about unemployment figures and other topics. I thought the Republican Party was the party of integrity. With all of your lying, how can American voters expect you to tell the truth with your promises to them -- should you win the election? "

Mr. Romney, you have expressed several contradictory positions on virtually every major issue facing America today: Healthcare, Taxes, the role of government in providing a safety net, abortion, immigration. Indeed, about the only joke I've heard making the rounds about the 2012 election is, "A Conservative, a Moderate, and a Democrat walk into a bar one evening. The bartender says, 'Hi, Mitt'". Which is the Mitt Romney Americans will be voting for? The "severe conservative"...maybe the "compassionate conservative" that was on display during your first debate with Mr. Obama -- or the bi-partisan Romney that was Governor of Massachusetts"?

Mr Obama, despite billions of dollars in foreign aid, military expense and the loss of several thousand Americans, your overture to Islamic states has crumbled to the point of chaos in Lybia, Syria, Egypt, Afghanistan among others. Terrorists re emboldened with your display of appeasement. In retrospect, was your approach beneficial to our interests and What will you do differently if reelectd?

Cliff -- Sometimes I wonder if you were in a coma from 2000 -2008. Do you know that the U.S. was savagely attacked by terrorists who killed thousands on our own soil -- which your Republican President George W. Bush allowed to happen on his watch? W lied us into a war that cost over $2 TRILLION...and now Iraq is Iran's BFF? That same President did NOT catch OBL -- but Obama did. W and Cheney about destroyed America's reputation around the world -- and what do we hear from you? Whining about appeasement? Are you ill? Do you understand how much damage a Republican president has done to the United States of America? And you expect Americans to elect another empty-suited Harvard MBA to the WH? Man, not in my lifetime!
