Reel Mondays: Film Tackles the Influence of Money on Elections

Wilton LWV Reel Mondays series continues with "The Money Lobby"

On Monday, January 27 at 7:00 pm the documentary film series, Reel Mondays, continues with The Money Lobby.

This film is the second in this season's series of provocative documentary films presented jointly by the Wilton League of Women Voters and Wilton Library.

The film's focus is on the influence of money on U.S. elections in light of the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United that allowed unlimited contributions from Political Action Committees (PACs and Super PACs).

The discussion that will follow the showing promises to be a lively one, as the film is indeed "provocative" not only for its content but for its source, Press TV, a state-funded subsidiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

Come decide for yourself and join the discussion. Former Connecticut State Representative, Peggy Reeves will introduce the film and moderate the discussion afterwards.
