Selectman Ted Hoffstatter to Challenge Lavielle in November

The Wilton Democrats nominated Hofstatter to vie for the 143 district seat, the Bulletin reports.

Winning in the Wilton Democratic nomination last night, Selectman will challenge incumbent come November for the 143rd district seat during the next Conn. State Asssembly, the Wilton Bulletin reports

Lavielle, a Republican, is a member of the Wilton Board of Finance and Public Transportation Comission. Since 2008, Hofstatter has has served as the Democratic State Central Committee representative for the 26th district, according to the Bulletin.

Thank goodness this was the only sacrificial lamb the local Democrats could find. It will mean Gail won't need to focus too much on re-election and can continue on with the hard work she has been doing for the 143 District (and all of Connecticut !) !! We are so lucky to have citizens like Gail willing to roll up her sleeves and fight for us ! Soon Mr Hoffstatter can try to join to the zoning board and fight to prevent businesses from coming to Wilton and paying the Town needed taxes. He seemed to enjoy that role as a Selectman ...
