Special Town Meeting Tuesday: Yes or No on the Keiser 39.5-Acres

A special town meeting on whether Wilton should acquire a conservation easement on the Keiser family land is Tues., Nov. 19 in WHS's Clune Center. Voting starts after the meeting and continues Sat., Nov. 23 at WHS from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

A  special town meeting will take place starting at 7:30p.m. on Tues. Nov. 19 at Wilton High School's Clune Center located at 359 Danbury Rd.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider a proposal to acquire a conservation easement on 39.5 acres of Keiser Family Land on Cannon and Seeley Roads. 

The proposed acquisition would be paid by the issuance of Town of Wilton bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,200,000. 

Machine voting will begin immediately following Tuesday night's meeting and will continue on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. at the Wilton High School Clune Center.

Registered voters and Wilton property owners – US citizens at least 18 years old owning property valued not less than $1,000 on the last-completed Grand List –are eligible to vote on this proposal. 

Absentee ballots will be available from the Town Clerk's Office, beginning on Oct. 29, 2013 and must be returned to the Town Clerk's office by Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at 4:30 p.m.
