What Do You Think of the New $100 Bill?

The new c-note has a number of security features to reduce the chances of counterfeiting.

Despite the fact that the federal government has been shut down for over a week, the Federal Reserve began circulating its new $100 bill on Tuesday.

What makes this one unique is the number of security features added to help thwart counterfeiters. Along with Benjamin Franklin's image is raised printing, a blue ribbon woven into paper, not printed and a color shifting bell that changes from cooper to green when the bill is tilted.

The $100 bill got its first extreme makeover since 1996, and it's colorful and Ben's head is bigger — literally, not figuratively, since Ben is, you know, deceased.

Of all the U.S. bills in circulation, the $100 bill is the one most often targeted by counterfeiters especially overseas.
