The following table is designed to break down how Wilton constituents voted in all races affecting the town, putting those results into context by placing the tallies side-by-side against district, state and national figures.
Winners are in bold. Click on each race name for details. What you see here is a snapshot as of 2 a.m. Nov. 7.
Clearly, the figures below represent voter totals minus Wilton. Patch will have results available as soon as the registrar makes them public.

As of 2 p.m., 5,711, or 48 percent of, Wilton residents have voted, according to Democratic Registrar Carole Young-Kleinfeld. That is down from the 6,300 people who voted in 2008 by 2 p.m.
The 7-8 a.m. hour was the busiest today, Young-Kleinfeld said. Eight-hundred people came out to vote, which is also lower than 2008. By that same hour, 1,031 Wilton residents came out to vote that year.
Young-Kleinfeld added that both Registrars have already voted and are reporting no lines at the polling locations, but there still seems to be a bit of confusion as to where residents should go to vote because of redistricting.

Patch caught up with Tom O'Dea, the Republican candidate for the 125th District race, at New Canaan High School where he had a table set up to greet voters. He told Patch that he had been up since 4 a.m. to get in some last-minute campaigning but remains "excited."
"I think we've run a postive campaign about we plan to do to fix some of the fiscal problems up in Hartford and I think we've sent a positive message that we're going to do good things," he said. "I look forward to winning and representing Wilton and New Canaan."

Good morning, and welcome to Election Day 2012!
Today, Wilton residents go to the polls to choose a president, a U.S. Senator, a U.S. Representative representing the 4th District, a state Senator representing the 26th District and State Representatives from the 125th and 143rd Districts.
See below for information on where to cast your ballot and the list of candidates. We've also included how Wilton voted in 2008, the year of the last presidential election, and 2010, the last mid-term election.
Read it over, then visit your local polling station between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. to make your voice heard! And be sure to check back here for updates throughout the day, including the announcement of the winners as soon as votes are tallied tonight.
