Let's Make Sports Safer with HeadDoctor

HeadDoctor is the worlds first mobile application that uses a smartphone's camera to diagnose a concussion. Help us reach our fundraising goals at http://www.IndieGoGo.com/headdoctor

My name is Ryan Saleh and I am a lifelong Wilton resident and the founder of HeadDoctor, a mobile application designed to quickly detect and diagnose head injuries and concussions.

HeadDoctor uses a smartphone's camera to analyze irregular pupil behavior and can detect a concussion in a matter of seconds to prevent players from sustaining repeat and compound injuries.  With the publishing of each day’s news comes more and more information about the unseen dangers of contact sports and how the effects of head injuries can cause long-term damage to a player’s motor skills and even mental state.

My team and I are looking to break this cycle and help make sports a little bit safer. As a lifelong athlete, I know, firsthand, the benefits of team sports on a child’s development.  With this application, parents, teachers, and coaches can have in their hands technology that allows them to help recognize a concussion and react accordingly.

Please take some time to navigate to the link below and check out our video and contribute to our fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo if you can.  If we can reach our fundraising goals before Christmas we will be able to deliver the application, free of charge, by April 2013.  My team and I greatly appreciate your time and help.  Please feel free to ask any questions in the comment section below and I will address them asap or e-mail me any time at rts@nyctm.com
