hosts a hands-on stone wall repair workshop at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, starting off with a park ranger-led walk focusing on the history of stone walls. The workshop include a demonstration of stone wall construction and a chance for participants to try their own hand at wall repair.
Participants should bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, clothing that is appropriate for outdoor work and a brown bag lunch. Drinking water will be provided.
There is no fee to participate, but registration is required and space is limited. To register or for more information, call 203-834-1896 ext. 13, by Friday, Sept. 24.
