Wilton High School Plant Sale & Millstone Farm's Shared Harvest

Pick up plants for your veggie patch at the Wilton High School Organic Garden Club’s annual plant sale on Saturday, May 5 at the Village Market in Wilton. We’ll have a wide variety of tomato and pepper plants for sale, all from $2 – $5 (3” – 6” pots). Your purchases will directly support the Wilton High School Organic Garden Club and the garden created and maintained by its members.

This year we’re partnering with Millstone Farm’s Shared Harvest, an initiative to help increase access to fresh, local food grown by farms and backyard gardeners throughout our area. Millstone Farm will match every plant you buy at the Wilton High School Plant Sale with a plant for you to grow alongside your own, but for the purpose of sharing its harvest.

Nurture the plant as your own, but harvest its fruit with others in mind. Drop a basket of tomatoes at your local food bank or deliver some peppers to a family who would appreciate it. Millstone’s vision is to help enough residents of Wilton grow their own food, so that eventually the produce of just one plant from each household will be harvested and donated together to provide many pounds of food for our local food banks. Change starts in your own backyard. Share some of your harvest this year and help create access for all residents to fresh, local food grown right here in Fairfield County.
