Football is Just the Start: WHS Homecoming Activities

This year the students have organized multiple activities – from the carnival to the parade, marching band, homecoming court...and, of course, the big football game in the afternoon.

Mark your calendars now, because it's a matter of days until Wilton High School's homecoming weekend.

The students are extending an invitation to the entire community to come down a bit early for the Homecoming Game on Saturday Sept. 28th (2:30p.m.) to take part in some family and community oriented activities.

This year's festivities include a carnival sponsored by high school clubs, the parade with the marching band, homecoming court and WHS class student government banners, and, of course, the game itself.

The carnival will begin at 1:00p.m. in the Dust Bowl, the field below Fujitani Field (the stadium turf).

Some twenty WHS clubs will be providing events such as bocce by the International Club, Pie-in-the-Face by Peervention, hand-painting by Open Art and face-painting by Operation Smile. All events are free of charge. Children and adults of all ages are welcome!

Passing by the carnival starting around 2:00p.m. will be the parade, which will feature the WHS and District administration and the Homecoming Court in Jeeps, banners made by our class student governments, and, the feature event, our award-winning Warrior Marching Band.

Then, stick around as our Warriors take on the Branford Hornets at 2:30p.m.! At the time of writing, our team is still fresh off an exciting victory over Guilford High School to put them at 1-0 on the season. Come participate in a WHITE-OUT by wearing white to the game!

Schedule for Saturday, Sept. 28 at the WHS Football Stadium

  • Carnival: 1-2:30 PM
  • Parade: 2:00 PM
  • Game: 2:30 PM
