The Wilton Chamber of Commerce today announced their 16th Annual Chamber Golf Classic. The tournament will be held on Monday, May 14th, 2012, at scenic Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown.

“We are delighted to confirm that accounting firm Reynolds & Rowella, LLP, is the tourney’s Title Sponsor again this year, making this the 16th year they have lent their support,” said Ralph Slater, Chamber president.
“The Golf Classic is about much more than golf; it’s about giving back to the business community,” added Frank Rowella. “This is always a great opportunity for us. We’re privileged to continue the tradition of being the title sponsor of this terrific event.”
Key sponsorship slots are still available, including several Hole Sponsorships. This is a major fundraiser for the Chamber, as the proceeds benefit the organization’s community initiatives and its scholarship fund. The event committee is working diligently to make this year’s tournament another huge success. With a history of selling out and spectacular prizes, early reservations are recommended.
Play will follow a best ball/scramble format, so golfers of all abilities can be accommodated on the challenging course. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The $175 player fee includes greens fees, a cart, an afternoon buffet, cocktails, dinner in the stunning Clubhouse, hole-in-one awards, and prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin. Bruce Bennett Nissan is sponsoring the hole-in-one contest, providing the opportunity to win a 2012 model. The foursome with the top score will bring home the Wilton Cup and qualify for entry to next year’s Classic.
