Fate of Middlebrook Field Lighting Upgrades Hits a Bump

On Tuesday, the attorney for Wilton Youth Football withdrew his application to amend zoning to allow lighting upgrades.

Last week Patch reported on the Sept. 23 2013 public P&Z hearing on the proposed amendment for upgraded lighting at Middlebrook Field.

That proposal would allow for lighting atop 70-foot poles versus the existing lighting, which sits atop 30-foot poles.

During that hearing, forty-year Wilton resident, Anthony Lo Frisco who opposes the proposed regulations, said that the attorney for Wilton Youth Football, Casey Healy, of the law firm, Gregory and Adams, P.C., was not in a legal position to submit the application because one must be a Wilton property owner in order to do so.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, Healey submitted a letter to Planning and Zoning Commission withdrawing the application to amend the zoning regulations (Regulation Change #13341).

"We will refile the application in due course," said Healy in the letter to P&Z.

Patch will provide updates on future applications to amend regulations for lighting as they become available.
