Lots to Do in Wilton This Weekend

Head to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk for the Touch-A-Jellyfish exhibit which opens on Saturday, Jan. 18. 

Child Safety Day.
 Stop at the Darien Service Plaza on I-95 on Saturday, January 18. The Connecticut Service Plazas will hold its first Child Safety Day from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Free AmberAlert Child ID cards will be distributed to parents or guardians of the children in attendance.

Depression Recovery program. Register for this 6-session that starts on Jan. 20 at Hope Church, 240 Wolfpit Rd in Wilton. There is a morning and evening session.  For more information click here.

There is a fee to participate of $350 and seating is limited. However, scholarships may be available.

Wilton Historical Society. (Wilton Historical Society is not typically open on Mondays, but they will be open on Mon., Jan. 20 for Martin Luther King Day which is the last day of the Great Trains exhibit, and sponsoring a "What are you doing?" poster contest.) Martin Luther King Day Student Art Challenge, Monday, Jan. 20, 10:00am-4:00pm

Visit an open house in Wilton. Check out real estate open houses. There are two this weekend in Wilton. There are about 10 in Westport. 

Check out the performance on Sunday, Jan 19 from 4:00-5:00p.m. 
Australian Haydn Quartet to Perform at Library on Sunday.

Head to the Aquarium in Norwalk. The Touch-A-Jellyfish exhibit opens on Saturday. 

Donate to the Wilton Y Swim Equipment Drive. The Wilton Y Wahoos will be running a Used Swim Equipment Drive this weekend - January 17th-19th during our swim meet.  We will be accepting gently used swim equipment such as: fins, pull buoys, snorkels, etc.  Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will directly help young swimmers.  All donations will be donated to local teams in need.

Note: Swim Meet Weekend Jan 17-19. The 50M pool will close at 12 noon on Friday, 1/17 and remain closed through Sunday, 1/19. Half the gymnasium will be used by the swim team. Babysitting will not run on Saturday, 1/18

Minecraft Club at Wilton Library.Saturday, Jan. 18 from 10:00a.m. –12:00 noon. Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club.  A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game.  Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account.  To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered.  Registration required.
