Family Days Returns to the Wilton Historical Society on Saturday May 18

The Wilton Historical Society will host Family Day, an open house, on Saturday May 18th from 11am-4pm.

Join us on Saturday May 18th from 11am – 4pm for Family Day, an open house, at the Wilton Historical Society. Learn about life in Colonial America through hands-on historical activities and demonstrations.

Try your hand at spinning, weaving, or spoke shaving. Learn how barns were built and be one of the first to see our newly built miniature replica of the Abbott Barn. Guests will be able to take apart the miniature barn and put it back together to reenact a barn raising. Our Blacksmith shop will also be open for demonstrations.

Popcorn popping, corn churning, and ice shaving – to make sno-cones, will be available. This event is free for members or $10 for non-members. Anyone who joins the Historical Society as a member during the Open House will only pay the membership fee.
