Wilton Library's Beyond Words Benefit set for April 5

Wilton Library will hold its annual spring benefit, Beyond Words, where guests will enjoy a full and festive evening in library spaces transformed for a Venetian Masquerade.

Excitement is bubbling up for Wilton Library’s Beyond Words benefit on Friday evening, April 5, from 7 to 11 p.m.  The library’s spaces will be transformed into a Venetian Masquerade, replete with party masks, delicious cuisine and carving stations provided by Luca Wine Bar & Italian Seafood, a lively live auction facilitated by Jon Ellenthal and a silent auction that will begin online in March and finish the night of the festivities. The Wilton Bank is the event’s Lead Sponsor; the Emerald Sponsor is Fairfield County Bank; Ruby Sponsors include The Greens at Cannondale, Gregory and Adams, P.C., Michael P. Kaelin/Cummings and Lockwood LLC, and Rings End; and the Media Sponsor is Wilton Magazine.

Michele Klink, co-chair of this year’s benefit stated, “Wilton Library is such a gem in our community. Our annual Beyond Words benefit lets us celebrate this wonderful institution and raise money to keep it the stellar resource that it is for Wilton.”  Jennifer Allbee, co-chair, added, “Wilton Library is so much more than just books – with a whole host of programming for all ages, innovative technology, a safe haven when the town needs comfort and support – it truly is a place Beyond Words!”

The online silent auction adds a new element to typical fundraising.  “Our enticing silent auction items will be placed on a website at www.biddingforgood.com beginning mid-March,” noted Anne Rowlands, director of development for the library. “Whether people are able to attend the evening’s festivities or not, they will be able to bid on these wonderful items being offered all to benefit the library.  Some of the early auction items are an exclusive getaway to Bahias de Huatulco (Mexico), a Night at the Opera, and admission to the world-renown TEDMED conference, with more being added each day, so people can keep checking back on their bids and the new offerings.”
