Wilton's division of the School Sisters of Notre Dame is part of a network of some 3,700 locations worldwide, operating in 36 different countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

Their mission is to direct "their entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent," focusing predominantly on education.  In pursuing this goal, the Sisters respond to the needs of their surrounding community through a variety of different ministries, all intent on living and working in ways "that reflect and promote the values Chirst lived and taught."
