The Wilton Town Hall is the town's main government building, defined by its large white columns. It was originally constructed by contractor Wales Lines deBussy in 1930 and a dedication ceremony was held on Valentine's Day in 1931, which featured a wide range of programs including Wilton's opera stars of the time, Mario Chamlee and his wife Ruth Miller.
The Town Hall houses offices for the selectmen, town clerk, tax collector and treasurer and a vault for important town and land records, among other offices and documents.
The Town Hall Annex abuts it and includes offices for planning and zoning, building, health, and public works departments.
The Town Hall complex also houses the Basil Burt Animal Shelter, a road sand/salt storage facility, and the Department of Public Works Garage.
