<p>It is named for Ina E. Driscoll, a Wilton teacher and principal from 1926 to 1957 who originally founded and ran the Gilbert and Bennett School in Georgetown (a subsect of Wilton and a few neighboring towns) and became a beloved member of the community before her passing in 1978.</p>
