Launched in 1976 with the help of the Wilton Playshop, this non-profit community organization produces two musicals…More each year that feature a cast of students and children ranging from fourth to eighth grade. Past productions include <i>The Sound of Music</i>, <i>Peter Pan</i> and <i>The Wizard of Oz</i>. The WCT also runs Summerstage, a four-week musical theater workshop for Wilton students in seventh through tenth grade.</p> <p>A volunteer Board of Directors oversees the organization, assisting with everything from set building to costume making to fund-raising (an especially vital task considering the WCT is supported entirely by its registration fees, ticket sales and patron contributions). Board members are selected from a group of parent volunteers and meet monthly throughout the year.</p>
