Joseph Moya is a Wilton resident and experienced industrial designer with 20+ years leading R&D and product design at companies including Timex Corporation, FITCH and Office Depot. He is a former IDSA Housewares Chair, IDSA NY Chapter Chair and adjunct professor at Pratt Institute in New York. His firm StudioMoya LLC (www.studiomoyadesign.com) helps established brands and start-up ventures capture market share through design differentiation and product innovation.

Joe is an entrepreneurial thinker with creative vision. He has a unique background in industrial design, brand development and manufacturing with over 20 years experience developing consumer and brand relevant products and solutions. Areas of experience include consumer products, housewares + home textiles, toys and children's products, office products, soft goods accessories, consumer electronics, fashion/sport watches, computer accessories and equipment.

Specializing in user-centered design and innovation discovery, Joe has lead strategic design programs for global companies including LG, Vtech, Newell Rubbermaid, World Kitchen, Timex, Office Depot and LeapFrog. Joe is experienced with leveraging consumer and market insights and has extensive manufacturing experience working with US and Asia based vendors in many industries.

Joe's experience includes Chief Design Officer at MindsInSync; Studio Director, Product Development and Innovation at FITCH; Senior Director and founder of Office Depot's product design department; and VP of Design and Merchandising at TIMEX Corporation.

He is a former IDSA Housewares Chair, IDSA NY Chapter Chair and adjunct professor at Pratt Institute in New York. Joe studied marketing at Northeastern University and has a BS Industrial Design from the University of Bridgeport. Joe is also is a graduate of Wilton High School - class of 1983
