The New Canaan YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that focuses on strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The Y offers a variety of programs for all ages and interests.

Healthy Living:

The Y is a place for everyone to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. From adult fitness opportunities like personal and small group training programs such as TRX, strength training, and more, group exercise classes like bootcamp, yoga, Pilates, zumba, aquatic fitness and more, and lap swimming, to adult recreation sports in the gymnasium like basketball, pickleball, and volleyball, ForeverWell programs for active older adult members to get active, stay fit, and be social; and chronic disease support programs including LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a 12-week research-based physical and well-being program for cancer survivors, in addition to Exercise for Parkinson's, supporting those battling Parkinson's Disease through physical mobility, vocalization, strength, flexibility and balance activities led by a certified instructor.

Youth Development:

Providing a safe, nurturing environment for our community's kids to learn, grow, and thrive is woven into the fabric of our Y's mission for youth development. Programs include Bouncing Bears gymnastics classes, youth sports, recreation, and wellness, swim lessons, competitive aquatic teams (artistic swimming, swim team, and dive team) and more. Childcare programs include the Rainbow Station Infant-Preschool program operating year-round, in addition to the Rainbow Station 5's Pre-K, Kids Unlimited afterschool, and Vacation Camp programs that run during the school year. During the summer months, camp programs include Camp Mini, Camp Y-Ki, and Y Special Needs Camp Jam.

Social Responsibility:

The New Canaan YMCA has been listening to and responding to our community’s needs since 1954. Through programs, facilities, and support, we work to make our community healthier, stronger, and more connected. Additionally, we also provide our members with the opportunity to give back and make a difference themselves. Whether through our volunteer program, becoming involved with one of our world service partnerships, or through our Annual Support Campaign, we work to empower our members to be able to join the Y’s cause of making our community stronger.
