Chef and Holistic Health Counselor
I'm a strong advocate of eating organic and local foods and leading a healthy lifestyle. I became a health counselor to fulfill my growing passion of working with children and families to improve their health and to make a positive impact on their lives, perhaps a result of raising four children of my own.
With a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Columbia University, I subsequently completed a Diploma in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. From there I went on to open an organic catering business in Greenwich Connecticut called Tiffin Organic Dinner Delivery Service. I later received my training as a Health Counselor at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition®, and completed certification in Food Therapy at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York. During a recent stay in Singapore, I took courses in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Acupressure and Emotional Freedom Technique, therapies that I hope to explore more. Currently, I’m continuing my studies in holistic health and expanding my knowledge of the complex relationship between food and health.
