Cider Mill Staff Member Contracts H1N1

A release from Superintendent Dr. Gary Richards announces a local case of the H1N1 virus.

According to a release from the Board of Education, a staff member at Cider Mill School was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus last week.

The release, sent by Superintendent Dr. Gary Richards, said the staff member is recuperating at home and the absence rates at Cider Mill are normal, indicating the flu has likely not spread.

Richards stated, however, that "this is a good opportunity for us to remind our children about good hygiene practices and preventative measures," and added the importance of keeping children at home for at least 24 hours if they display flu-like symptoms.
