Now that Wilton's school children have (finally) gone Back to School, we're reminded of the herculean task of what it takes to get them there. Wilton's school bus transportation is overseen by Mary Channing, who coordinates more than 30 routes for three different cycles of pick-up and drop-off (four if you count the midday kindergarten drop-off routes) for all of Wilton's children.
They may be sleepy, they may be finding their way to classrooms for the first time ever, and they may be getting dropped off my mom or dad instead of by bus, but the students are finally on their way.
